When can I start?
You can start at any time! Enrolments are continuous because you can start your study anytime within a year. However, you have to remember, your progress depends on your commitment, persistence on writing and discussion with your expert / supervisor. Simply submit your application for admission. You need not submit your proposal if it is not ready. You need to work on 3 pages of your intent of research when you submit nomination of supervisor. After processing, we will email you regarding the status.
Can I transfer prior college credit to the IIC Ph.D Program?
Yes. As part of the admission process, we will evaluate your prior academic work and award credit earned at appropriately accredited colleges or universities. There are some students can be exempted from proposal defence and direct proceed with Viva Voce if they reach the minimum requirement based on advice of our panel of expert.
What are the admission requirements?
To qualify for admission into the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme, the applicant is required to possess one of the following qualification
• A Master's Degree or its equivalent in the relevant field; OR
• Other qualifications as approved by the University Senate; OR
• Applicant with a Bachelor's Degree with CGPA of 3.70 and above can apply directly for a PhD programme
• A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in relevant field with a minimum of 10 years managerial experience.
What if English isn’t my first language?
As a IIC University of Technology student, you will be expected to communicate clearly in writing and during conversations with your mentor and IIC staff. If English is not your native language, you will need to write an essay of 200 words to prove your proficiency in English. In addition, you are allowed to write your thesis in your local language and you need to have a translator to translate your work to English. You are allowed to get assistance of translator for your proposal defence and voice viva.
Do I have to pay the application fee to be admitted?
Yes. You need to pay $50 as the processing fees. If your application is rejected, we will fully refund your application fees. The application fee helps defray our costs associated with admissions, transcript collection, enrolling students, etc. Note: It is against federal regulations to use financial aid for an application fee.
