Courses of Study in the Faculty of English, Foreign Languages and Communication Studies

Teaching in the faculty utilizes language laboratory facilities, CD computer-assisted packages and individual attention by fully-qualified staff and native speakers. There is concentration on student-centered practice and articulation.

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree majoring in Languages, Business English and Communication Skills or English Literature in Contemporary Society, opens up many career opportunities in government, industry, business, commerce, international trade, diplomacy, the mass media, journalism, NGO’s, UN agencies, which require specific knowledge, expertise and skill in such areas as interpersonal relations, teamwork, foreign languages, advanced English, research, cross-cultural awareness, report-writing, critical thinking, negotiation, conducting meetings, delegated authority and understanding contemporary society. All are emerging skill-requirements for an increasingly professional workforce in Cambodia. IIC is responding to such emerging needs by providing training opportunities in these vital human resource areas.

Special Programs – IELTS/TOEFL and Scholarship Preparation

As well as the degree majors outlined above, the Faculty of English, Languages and Communication Studies offers programs of teaching, instruction and practice for those wishing to sit for IELTS/TOEFL or prepare scholarship application for study abroad where English, Chinese or Japanese is the language of instruction.

Such programs are offered on a demand-basis and prospective students should enquire at IIC for details.
